The Merit of the 10 (first) days of Dhul-Hijja
"By the

Allah swears by the dawn when the dew glow appears in the horizon (It is said
that the dawn here means the day of sacrifice , it is the dawn of the
tenth day Of the twelfth of the Islamic calendar).
The first ten days of the month of Dhoû-l-Hijja conclude with the feast of sacrifice.
The hadeeth shows the advantage of these days: "The best works that pleases Allah are those that are performed in these days.”(Narrated by Al Bukhari).
Ibn 'Abbas (radhia Allahu anhu) says that the odd is the day of Arafat, whichcoincides with the ninth day of Dho-l-Hijja, and the peer signifies the day of sacrifice which coincides with the tenth day of that month.
According to
Ibnu Abbas (radhia Allahu anhu), the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam): “There are no better works than those made in these
ten days.”The Companions said, “Not even the effort in the way of God?” He said, " Not even a man who comes out
Risking his life and property and who would not return with anything (that is,
he would lose his life and his fortune).” Reported by Al-Bukhari:
